"The Night is silence... It is fate... It is blood... It is the invisible music of instinct."

[Private to Alice]
I... I was inspired to share a poem with you, a poem from my world... I hope you like it.

The Division of the Hours

The Day is words and rage.
The Day is order, earth and gold.
It is the philosophers in their cities;
It is the map-makers in their wastelands.
It is roads and milestones.
It is panic, laughter and sobriety;
White, and all enumerated things.
It is flesh; it is revenge; it is visibility.

The Night is blue and black.
The Night is silence, poetry and love.
It is the dancers in their grove of bones,
It is all transforming things.
It is fate, it is freedom.
It is masks and silver and ambiguity,
It is blood; it is forgiveness;
It is the invisible music of instinct.

It is, ah, metaphorical... yet highly accurate of what my world is like.
[/private to Alice]

[Private to Sal]
A stitchling of mine has delivered your bullets.

I hope it didn't scare you too badly. *smirks*
[/private to Sal]

[Private to Niflheim except Light]
What does Niflheim think of Light building nuclear bombs? If Niflheimers think at all.

I'd say it's high time to invest into a nice lead lined bunker. My armour's not designed to protect against this kind of fire power.

And here I thought he and his detective wanted to try their hand in biological warfare.

I admit, I am as well lacking in such protection against this particular weapon.

It would seem they are after something more now, and it perplexes me on how it has escalated to this level.

It's as if now that they realized they can't kill each other, they decided it would be more fun to just nuke everything around them off the planet. Totally useless way of making war, in my opinion.

Should we ask his Luciness if there is a chance to install a nice bunker in the sub-levels of the building? Would make the whole survival thing a bit easier.

If you can't survive this explosion I know I sure as hell can't.

... And neither can Light. I don't know what he thinks he's up to.

And that is the problem. I have the feeling dear Light does not even plan to live through the game.

If there is one thing you do not need in a war, it's suicidal kamikaze acting without a proper reason.

That's true, but a bunker can be very calming for the nerves and would as such be a great help in avoiding unwanted... casualties. We wouldn't want someone to terminate him too early.

At the moment, he has difficulties getting the ingrediences for his little doomsday device. I think the easiest way to keep him from doing it, would be to not let him find the stuff he needs.

It would buy us some time, if nothing else.

Indeed. Perhaps in the heat of the moment, I could understand lashing out at every one and every thing, but Light seems to be acting as if asking us to help him kill us is perfectly rational.

Hmm, we might as well. I am deeply interested in hearing Lucifer's oppinion on this "development."

[private to Midvalley]

Midvalley, there are things you are not aware of. Things that happened before you got here. Light used to be my roomate, and I've known from the very beginning what sort of trouble he would be. I tried to intervene, change his path. It didn't work, to say the least. The incident was...painful.

There was nothing I could do afterwards because Lucifer himself opposed me in the matter, opposed me very strongly. If you've seen the recent comm posts you'll see that dear old Lucy has changed his tune completely. I think...I think even he is a little bit afraid of Light. And that says something, doesn't it? Once more, he apparenlty did not know that his little favorite was running around trying to make bombs until informed by Carrion. The devil does not see all.

Light's presence is a dangerous liability that will never be counterbalanced by anything "brilliant" that he may do. Ever. The only real solution is to put him down before he puts us down. I see his heart. It is only a matter of time.

If he doesn't take all of us down in one sweep maybe he will take some of us. You, Midvalley? Me? Jazz? Can you live with that kind of blood on your hands?

Think about it.

Then, let me know.

[/private]

(ooc: I wasn't sure if Midvalley meant that he was willing to restrain Light, but not kill, or if he meant that he was in fact willing to help kill Light. This reply is a reaction to the first interpretation. Let me nkow if I got it wrong.)

[Private to Strix]If he's brilliant but he's nothing but a loose cannon, he isn't doing us any good. And I don't see wanting to blow up this place and himself with it as a sign of brilliance. I'll... be in touch. Something has to be done, or we'll be blown up while we're still thinking.[/Private]

((OOC: Yeah, he was talking about restraining him, but since he's done worse on Gunsmoke killing him is something he's going to have to consider. Not that I mean him to sound wishy-washy, but he was hoping to do less killing in the afterlife, at least of people on his own side, so it wasn't his first thought.))

You know...that seems like an odd sort of slip for Light.

[private to Carrion]

I know I don't have to warn you to keep your eyes peeled, but please do be careful. If Light finds out that you have gone to the rest of us behind his back, he may very well try to lash out at you, and while I'm sure you could handle it, he does appear to be a madman, and sometimes madmen can do surprising things. It would be unfortunate to lose someone as talented and intelligent as yourself from our ranks.

One would think he might have tried to get to know me before asking such a question, but I suppose I should not expect him to do that, either. Manipulation takes much more finesse.

I... will heed your advice. If Light does come after me, I will be ready. I have much experience with madness and madmen to know to pay attention.

Nuclear bombs? Well, if they're nuclear, then that's an extremely stupid idea. I wouldn't have a problem if they weren't.

And here I thought he was meant to be intelligent. Apparently he hasn't quite got the 'one side wins' thing. Or that this is meant to be a team thing (apparently).

I wouldn't either - if they willingly want to kill themselves, how can we stop them? However, taking everyone else with them? That is quite unacceptable.

Even the intelligent are subject to madness. Some minds cannot take the burden of excessive intelligence, so the mind breaks down...
